I hope everyone had a happy and more importantly fun Halloween!! We certainly did! We went back to the bedsty Brooklyn party we went to last year at our friends Inbal and Ariel's place. Yes, as expected it was the best Halloween party in the city. I reprised my zombie look from last year and Kate went as Anna Wintour and effing nailed it. Our friend Megan went as Joan from mad men and didn't miss a detail she had a pen necklace and an old rotary phone for pete sake. Anyway I posted the pictures on my flickr and Kate has more on her's so check it out.

Hey, everyone happy happy new year!!!! well i hope everyone had a great time at their new years parties. We sure did! Kate Ian and I went to a loft party thrown by our friend Erin (hands) Hanley. She rented this loft and everyone prepaid on paypal to come to the party it was great. I think if i could get myself organized it may be an option for the next SSP. Needless to say we all celebrated the coming of the new year with our usual heavy handed vigor. Ian took some falls but isn't to worst for the wear. I had a tough time on the 1st getting my strength back but Kate was ready for more party. (i'll post pictures soon)

yesterday Kate dug deep into her polish past to make some killer cabbage roles. I'm not all together certain, but I'm pretty sure i've had the magic that is cabbage roles before. Kate how ever nailed it on her first try. She invited a few friends over and told ian to pick out some good cheese and the result was a nice relaxing evening.

Today we are off to the adirondacks for a ski vacation. don't ask how or why it's a long story that none of us are really sure about. We leave soon and Ian seems to know where he's going. I always feel safe these days with the iphone maps forever by our sides.

lastly check out that f'n ring man!!!! that's right that ring resides on the hand of my brother big john diehl! He got it for being the head doctor for the minor league hockey team in Cincinnati! it's really pretty impressive. When i was home for christmas he asked me to post it so the smug phil anderson could see it. everyone enjoy it's glory!

UPDATE::::: I started the new frames09 which includes ski trip pics. New Years pics are back in frames08...... enjoy!!

So thanks to everyone that came to our open house last weekend!!!!! It was a great time. if i can get around to it i'll post some pictures. Anyway lets talk about the new dport7 news. First off i hope your listening to our podcast it's just as pointless as ever and i just posted our 12th episode. Secondly i wanted to share with the dport7 faithful the new Official dport7 robot i'm working on. As some of you might have noticed the current dport7 kilroy is a bit boxy and not very posable. As such i've been thinking for a while now about redesigning him with all the joints built in so he would be completely posable. thus a much better mascot for the site. I usually just drop this stuff on the site after i've finished but because this is going to be such a long process i thought i'd share the journey. Here is a quick rendering of the leg as you can see it's fully able to be positioned and the ball at the top will fit into the torso as (you guessed it) a ball socket joint. Stay tuned for the progress and let me know what you think.
Have a happy thanksgiving !!!

did it feel like you lost a close friend? what did you miss the most, the misspellings and horrible grammar or the long explanations about my weekends that sounded strangely familiar as if you read them the week before. No matter, you missed dport7 and by god dport7 missed you right back.
Now let me explain the reason for the outage. There's been a lot of speculation that it was the economic collapse that took out the site. As most of you know dport7 is a publicly traded company invested in any number of financial ventures. others speculated that with the down turn in the economy that much of the staff was let go and the site was just under powered. This is partly true we finally fired the entire film making wing and that helped free up some much needed funds for the new podcast venture. others speculated i had been killed in a helicopter accident but that's untrue. (so what's the real reason paul i'm tired of reading this crap) Well fine!!!! It all started back a few weeks ago when I moved into a new apartment. As all of you know Kate and i moved in together in Park Slope Brooklyn. We found an amazing place and it's really working out well. I need to take some pictures to post but we are hoping to have you all over soon. Although i can blame a large portion of this on the move the other large portion is that i just don't have time. between work and getting sick ( just a bad cold no need for alarm), and other responsibilities i feel as if i just can't find a free moment when i have enough energy to sit down and make anything new for the site. I still have lots of ideas for things i would love to make for you but the energy to make it happen is harder and harder to find. Maybe i've just hit a slow patch and i hope so because over the years i've put a lot of time in to this site trying to make it not crap. That got a little heavier than usual. moving on..........
So, to come back on a high note last Saturday a bunch of us went up to bear mountain for the yearly octoberfest. You might remember last year we went up for this with Ian and Eban's parents and really liked it. This trip was a little different though. without any parental supervision to keep us all inline it kinda turned into (for lack of better words) a shit show. we went up with quite a large group of dedicated friends. The boat left the harbor at 9am. Unlike last year with it's pre WWII boat this years vessel was brand spanking new. Because of the newness the city had yet to grant the ship a liquor license. This upset a few people in the group because this was promised to be a day of debauchery. This stuck fear in to Kate and I hearts. Kate sent out the evite for the event promising a booze cruse and we were letting people down. Luckily though i think this turned out for the best. As a result on the way up to Bear Mountain we decided that with a dry boat we should forgo the ride back, thus spending more time at Octoberfest. We arrived at noon just as the gates opened, and Octoberfest didn't disappoint. Needless to say i think you can guess what happened next. All i know is we missed the boat back in favor of more german fun and got a ride to the LIRR with Sarah and Billy who get a great big dport7 thanks. I'd like to go into detail but most of it is stupid and embarrassing, although not to mean we didn't have a great time. I think this will go on to be a dport7 sponsored event every year. although i feel as if you may need to pass an endurance test before its safe to come along. It was truly a hard day of fun. Thanks to everyone who came we can't wait for next year!!!!!!!! If this picture doesn't say it all i don't know what does. Big thanks to kate for organizing!!!!!! you're a hero!
::::update:::: Check out frames for all the bear mountain photos!!!

It's official dport7's SSP has become a New York City summer party institution . I remember when it was just a few people on the roof of a Hells Kitchen apartment standing in Short Shorts having a few beers. Now it's a full on city wide party with nearly 100% participation and at least 70 people in attendance. This year took the party to the next level by adding the award for shortest shorts. this years winner was Mr.Kevin Hasselwander who showed up in cut off jean shorts with star bedazzled in the back. After taking a consensus from the crowed he seemed to be the most worthy (less gross) candidate. So his name now goes in the long list of SSP winner. As always my favorite part of SSP is seeing all the friends i rarely get to talk to over the course of the year. I really appreciate those of you that have made it so many years in a row and continue to dig out you short shorts every year. I also want to thank the out of towners for making the trip. Ian from singapore, paul from chicago, jon (jew) from Milwaukee, and of course brian from chicago who hates everything about New York, but toughs it out for the party.
So how about the pictures, well I haven't had time to sort and post in frames (this weekend) but a few people have posted on flicker and picasa (please post more links in the comments)so thanks for the links steve and jon and although this party may be getting to big the entire staff is looking forward to next year. By the way faithful we need a new venue next year soo keep your eyes open and let me know.

The Shortest Shorts Trophy is 3D printing as we speak. I hope your all in it to win it. See you there!

so it's been so busy lately. first off where is the summer going? the good news is that last monday i (by the grace of god) got to go to a Yankee's game with my super good friend Jenn. The game was sooo much fun, only because Jenn is the best. We just sat there laughing the entire game drink'n beer and having an all around great time. Jenn for real send in those pictures there are more than a few worth posting.

Secondly Happy Forth of July everyone! I for one have completely enjoyed the holiday weekend. Kate in another great move planed a little day trip to
Sandy Hook NJ. Kate I Michele and Shay got on a ferry at 10am Friday morning for a short 30min ride out to what looks to be an old military base. Sandy Hook had been used to test weapons and what looks to be a training barracks of some kind. Either way it's a scenic and lovely place. Once you get off the ferry there are two school buses waiting to take you to 1 of 3 beaches on the island. And yes, for you freedom fighters out there, a nude beach is available for your sunning pleasure. We didn't visit that beach we were at North beach. It was over cast most of the day but i still managed to get very badly burned...... and yes i was the only one of the group to do so.

Lastly the dport7 SSP08 is in it to win it this year with the invite sent out a week ago. As of course if you didn't receive your just click here. I have to be honest with you, this is the first year i've been a bit embarrassed to send out the invite. in a way i guess it's a good thing, it means it's cutting edge. This years going to be huge. many surprises still to come so stay tuned.

lastly sad news tonight my kickball team lost it's last game. we are out of the playoffs and not chance for the Vegas tournament. i felt sad at the time but I think on the train ride home I got over it.

So last thursday night I went to the TODA summer party. It was great to see everyone as always and this time I got a chance to talk to my old boss mark. Turns out that very they had received the first shipment of the chair i had worked on most of the time i was there. this was for some reason extremely exciting for me. Mark said they are being sold at DDC.I haven't seen them on the website but I'm ganna try and stop in soon and pick one up. Also while I was there I saw the OXO shower caddy I was working on when I left in august 2005. It looks just like it did when I left it, and its in stores now.
Sorry it been sooo long since a post. I'm really having a hard time finding a moment to do this. With SSP08 coming up the entire dport7 office is a flutter with things to do. Don't forget July 19th watch your inbox for the official invite soon.

Let's start with the important news! If you didn't get the email last weekend you have the wrong email on joinup or you have failed to become a member. Either way the SSP08 save the date went out last week and the streets of New York are already buzzing with anticipation. As New York's biggest Short Shorts Party it's a lot to live up to. This year promises to be the biggest ever with attendees from all around the world. July 19th mark it down with a bullet and we will see you there!
Next on the topic of Short Shorts Parties a great friend of the site known as Jew threw the first successful satellite short shorts party in Milwaukee last month. it was a fully sanctioned and sponsored dport7 SSP and it looks as if it went great. He sent some pictures please check it out. notice the dport7 stickers placed to represent dport7 in only the best of ways. THANKS JEW.

Before i forget I've posted pictures frames the last few weeks in frames. One set is from the Kentucky Derby parties Kate and I went to and the other set is from my brother's visit. some of them are kinda funny i guess.

Memorial day weekend is here. I don't think I've ever in my life enjoyed a three day weekend as much as i do now. It just feels so great to have an entire extra day of freedom. So far mine has been really fun. My old friend from my intern days back at TODA is in town so we've been hanging out a lot just goofing around. we went to that new art museum on the bowery called The New Museum of Contemporary Art. To be honest we were both a bit let down and uninspired by the art in the place but the building and the space was impressive. Sunday night was a BBQ with a bunch of the TODA people that was supper nice out in sunset park. Then made at stop at brian westerhoff's wedding reception to hand a congratulations. The were a couple apple people there and it was great to seem of course.

Lastly for you internet kids out there I saw this new Weezer video that plays off all the big internet video hits of the last year or so. they got a lot of the people that were in the original videos to participate so it's really pretty cool. i posted it for you so check it out!

long post over!!!

so as we all know i have a phobia about aging. so i thought it might be a good idea to start hanging out with a younger crowd? this is aviv he's kind of hard to keep up with but i'm trying. (see picture below) was that funny at all? i think the older i get the more consistently less funny i get. it could be every year i'm more tired and i have less time alone with my brain to think of funny things. any way the real explanation to why there's a picture of me and a little baby on the site. my friend, co-worker, and member 95 jonathan eshe, jonathan and his lovely wife invited us over for their son's aviv 1 birthday. kate ian and i made the trip to hoboken and enjoyed the afternoon although by the time we left felt totally exhausted. I'm not really sure why though. (side note) i made the bowie shirt the kid has on. now that's a happy birthday.

other than that is was a slow weekend with out much to report. hey did anyone see the halfass golden globes announcements last night? i saw the people on NBC (i think) they had some tool reading the winners and not only was it less than entertaining but they guy the had the dumbest stuff to say i think I've ever heard. i could only find one youtube clip of this tool (the guy on the left) although this clip doesn't show just how dim this dude is.

lastly mac world is tuesday so look for the super cool coming your way!!!

all that build up can be a dangerous thing...... i know i got a bit anxious when new york magazine predicted SSP07 was going to be the biggest party of the summer. well it turns out the expectation were right on because this years party was just as good if not better than ever. the weather couldn't have been better and the budweiser couldn't have been colder. short shorts far out numbered the pants and as far as i know everyone had a great time. i want to send a big thanks out to those of you who have made it the past three years (you know who you are) and all the first timers that threw caution to the wind to wear short shorts out in manhattan. of course a special thanks to everyone that came in from out of town for the event.
As you may know the party started at around 9:30-10pm and went to the wee hours of the morning(4:30am). as i sit here trying to recount the nights events i find it hard to tell. an event of this magnitude it difficult to describe. so i'll say check out the pictures i have a special link below, because I'm starting a short shorts party pictures section where you can look at pictures of the last 3 years. So far I just have 07 up but the other years will follow shortly. the winner of the ssp was a tie. Sara won for shortest shorts while kate won the spirit award for hardest partier. Jon (jew) won for number of naps taken, and tyson won/lost for tightest pants. other than that thanks again everybody i really had a great time! please please please if you have pictures send them to me and i'll put them up.

with the city such a buzz about the 52 annual dport7 Short Shorts Party it's become hard to go out in public. everywhere i go people are clamering for invites and information about the party where it's at and when they can show up. lucky for you your smart enough to come to the site. click on the link below for all the information you'll need to rock the hottest summer party in town!

in other new i went back to defiance ohio last weekend to see the family. it was my grandfathers 90th birthday so kate and i decided to fly in for the occasion. long story short it was great to be involved in such a big birthday, i get culture shock everytime i go home and my parent are farming kittens i think the offical count is 15. I took a few pictues right before we headed back for the airport so you could all se the desolet area i came from. i'll throw them in frames. this is a shot of our run down barn just because around brooklyn you don't see a barn everyday.
oh just a quick work of advice don't fly NWA they are for lack of better words assholes! aparently their solution for someone that has been waiting in line so long they'er going to miss their flight is "yeah i can't help you..... sorry" and "yeah..... my shift just ended when you walked up to the counter...... good luck" wow with customer service like they should write a how to piss off customers handbook..... not cool

the last week has been so jammed pack I can't even tell you. my mom and her friend were here from friday to today so i had to be on my best behavior and try my best to be entertaining. the other big news as i also mentioned before was jenn was in town. it's been years since i've seen her and she is better than ever. we met up for drinks and to see assscat which is an improve group with amy poehler from snl. it was GREAT.... i need to get tickets and go again.

In the BIG news of the month the dport7 Short Shorts party invites went out last week. the city is already swelling with excitement and the local press has ran away with the story predicting that this will be the largest short shorts party the city has ever seen. it's a new roof top venue this year. we are having it on the roof of my current office where there's lots of space and fun to be had. let me know if your excited about the event and planning on coming so i know how to plan. don't be afraid to invite your friends. well as long as they wear short shorts..... to add excitement to thing we have several out of town special guest and you folks know who you are...spread the word.

this week has been intense!!!! for real. besides having a big project going on at work all week i still found time to do some extra curricular activities. tuesday night kate and i were invited by nicole to the gallery party were she works. it was what you might expect from a gallery party epicly cool with a crowed that only comes to that kind of event. a few of the artists were at the party and nicole showed us around the gallery and kindly explained all the art. this shot is the space and more in frames .... check it out totally kinda art cool.

on thursday night i went to the new website launch party at TODA (check it out). for those of you keeping score today was my first job here in new york. as you know i keep intouch with some of the staff and it was great to see everyone again and be back up in the office. as far as the web site goes i think it's great it' much more information rich and a bit more immersive than the last site. i was excited.

thursday also brought the fond fair-well to the Anderson's Phil and Leena. kate and i met them for a good bye drink at the rose and stone in columbus circle. it's sad to see friends leave the city but kate and i tried hard to convince them that Burlington vermont is going to be fun relaxing and a quality of life few can afford in this town. dport7 wishes you luck and we look forward to coming up to see you soon.

friday was Eban's birthday so we were out and about. the kid made it to 24. way to go pal

lastly i sent all day saturday cleaning my apartment; a move out quality clean. it took all day but this place is a nice now and it really needed it. by the way tyson got an iPhone and i can't sleep. yeah no your right that's sad.

i don't even know how to start..... ian (newly hired unpaid dport7 unpaid intern) and i went to charlotte north carolina last week (wednesday) for our good friend and yours prof. and alison's wedding. i'm exhausted...... ian and i were running on all ten cylinders to make sure that aaron never wanted to be single again. the wedding was beautiful and the bride (alison) was stunning. the bachelor party was done right with an all day even involving everything from paintball to a yard of beer and more. aarons dad received the spirit award for his paintball talent and his over all ability to hang... along with a strong showing of dance at the reception. i'm working on editing the over 30 minutes of video we took over the weekend so if you don't see yourself in frames have no fear your represented in the film.
lastly the funny/scary story from the weekend came right after the reception when we got back to the hotel. ian chris and i went down the block to pick up some beers for a little after party. after finding a gas station we picked up too much bud and headed back. as we were walking out through the gas pumps i heard so young ladies holler out at us. I figured being in tuxes this was bound to happen. thinking fast and impaired i quickly talked them into giving us a ride back to the hilton. as soon as we started to drive tia and taylor started to hand us their business cards. in a cloud of confusion asked what it was all about and they informed us that they were local escorts. in a flurry of panic i told them we were all gay so they would lose interest and in a huff they dropped us off. the good news is they didn't rob us (they were small anyway) the other good news is if you ever in Charlotte over race weekend and lonely and feeling your morals loosening up you got two new Friends to call.
in summation i want to give a big thanks to aaron and alison for having us at their wedding i had a better than great time and i hope you have a happy fun and successful marriage.

what can i say about this weekend really? it was a great time with my good friend and brother john diehl. we set out to have nothing but fun and man we did it. saturday night we challenged the party gods and won. i took john to all my favorite places and then met up with phil and the crew. all and all neither john or i was seriously injured but we should have been. as always i want to throw out a HUGE thanks to john for the visit. god knows i never go to cincinnati to see him. I posted a bunch of shots inframes so enjoy. i think they capture the essence of what we were trying to do.

in other new (and this it right out of the blue) i got a new job! yesterday nice ltd made me an offer to join them and their industrial design team..... i think it's going to be a great move. i'm really looking forward to working on projects that will be consumer facing and that you the dport7 faithful can go to the store and buy. as most of you know i don't like to write about anything having to do with work but this is a big move and those are life changing so i needed a record..... as for g2 i'll miss the friends i made there and i'm grateful for the experience....

so i wanted to throw up a quick post. Last night dport7 had the honor of hosting John Diehl and we went out to everyones favorite little karaoke place in china town. needless to say i was in rare form and john shined like a new dime. here's a short but powerful video of us singing our signature brother song "we got tonight" by bob seger. Although the version they played was downright shitty. more to come..............

ok so i was on a tear this weekend. went out on thursday night with ian and mark to this great bar called heather's . i've been there a few times and always enjoy the interior and the beer. I took friday off and recovered from the night before and then joined tyson and the toda crew for a while night on the lower east side. we went to good world which i highly suggest to everyone. it's a bit expensive and slightly pertinacious but they have the best burger and fries in the LES. after getting started there we streamlined the crew and headed out to rock. visited a few more placed saw kid rock and had a dance off at some bar that i keep ending up at but never remember the name. kid rock not exciting kinda sucks looks like a tool. the dance off was difficult and impropt to but in true out of know where paul style i pulled out the moves and even brought back a few break dancing moves from back in the day. i always have the advantage in a dance off being that i'm a tall white bald white kid. that's what so great they never see it coming. anyway I'll post some shots in the frames. last night hung out with ian and kate and stopped in to see rebecca for a impromptu birthday party. saw some old friends had a good time but was out of gas and had to go home.

:::UPDATE::: check out what happened in Astor Place today it's crazy

so it dawned on me the other day that the pictures for 2007 have been lacking. i had thought that putting up the same old shots of me with all the people you've been seeing for the past 2 years had gotten old. the sad part about this is that these pictures are the only kind of pictures i take. I'm bad at arty type shots and to be honest i don't do any that interesting that would encompass cool photos. i spent saturday out with the swanson brothers and then in brooklyn with the toda crew. it was a good day of party and the pictures followed. for now i put them in the frames section. per my laziness i haven't started a new "slideshow" for 2007. if no one cares i might just let it go for this year, or maybe not. anyway check it out I had a polar bear mask.

So how about a general update, things I've been meaning to mention but haven't gotten around to.
First up and always top of mind i have a dport7 treat update for you. as we all know dumpy has gone missing from the site and is feared dead after the site redesign. to fill that gap the IT staff has finally gotten around to producing a killroy version. if you don't know what this means it's a osx icon you can place on the right hand side of your dock to give you an express connection to dport7.com. it's like a web bookmark in your dock. so DOWNLOAD it now and drag it to the dock then place the one that remains on your desktop into your documents folder.

I have a couple of websites to plug. first (and I'm really late on this one) is dport7's own professor (formerly uncle urb) and allison are tying the not and he's dedicated a website to keeping you up to date on the entire process. check it out and for the love of god sign the guestbook they love that.
second is a little site called heats and laserbeams. it's my fast friend steph calvert and her newly married self. she's been liked on dport7 for a while but i wanted to alert you all to her new improved site. take notice it have robots. hummmmm the influence of dport continues????????? probably not.

Lastly last night i was out to a co-worker's birthdays birthday party down on the lower east side. the bar was called ACE. man was it packed. unfortunately all there was room to do was hold a beer close to the vest. as you may know i'm a tall drink of water and i need to stretch my shit out. if the music is good this lanky white boy needs room to move. lucky for me the music wasn't very good. spent most of the night making fun of this guy playing pool who couldn't figure out weather to wear his hood half way on or a hat..... tool bag.

uhhhh so last night was the entire office christmas party as this place called
Guastavino's which happens to be under the queens bough bridge. The place was really impressive. it's this reception hall that's literally built into the bridge and exposing the architecture as the interior decor. i have to say i had a much better time this year than last year. why? mainly because I know more people now so the awkward feeling is lessened. over all it was a good night i didn't say or do anything too stupid and other than a bit of dancing i don't think i embarrassed myself too horribly. sadly the after party was less than worth while so one of the other guys i work with and I jumped in a cab and went to a local bar down town for a few more.

hey for those of you that keep up as web site check out this thing
fireftp. it's an extenion for firefox that puts an ftp client in your browser. i just set it up here and it really handy for times your not on your home computer.

#1.. My brother john was on TV the new for a medical study he did on hockey players. boy genius got his paper published and the doctors liked it so much they put it on the news check it out (you have to scroll down the page to the medical section and click on the hockey link)

#2.. i went to a christmas party at BVA's and Gonz's house on friday night after the nice christmas party (that's where ian works) ian got preoccupied at his party so i headed out to BVA's and Gonz's here in brooklyn. it was a pajama party, i had no idea. the shot below is BVA and his brother DVA who happens to be a industrial designer with his own little firm in atlanta called thing farm.

#3.. i have been watching the Rob and Big show on MTV; and i love it. Rob Dyrdek has been a pro skateboarder for Alien workshop and DC for as long as i can remember. to he honest i remember seeing him is skate magazines since i was in high-school, and i always though he looked like kind of an ass. after watching the show it turns out he's a pretty good guy. pretty funny and well spoken and over all cool. his friend Big is just as cool. i watched the entire season today and if you have time i suggest you do the same... the show kinda makes me jealous because after 8 years of skateboarding i was never very good and going pro was no where near happening. i wish i could skate all day instead of computer modeling but i guess it just wasn't in the cards.

well everyone i'm officially feeling the holiday season. the office parties are starting which means people all over america are embarrassing themselves in a mistaken drunken attempt to get to know their co-workers on a more personal level. it is after all the hap-happiest season of allllllllll. I had my annual team (the team for the client i work for) end of year/christmas party dinner. things on this account are going well so we went to the most over priced restaurant in the most over priced part of town the meat packing district. if you've been down there you might have seen the old home stead steak house. it has a big cow sign out side and the only thing they do is steaks.... let me just say that i had the best steak i will ever have that night. dinner took like 3 hours but it was worth it. I held on to my wits over the long dinner and even saw a C list celebrity. for all you american idol fans yes it's true taylor hicks looks like a massive tool in real life too. the night ended at a cigar bar down the street and as i smoked my free cigar i became proud of myself knowing i hadn't said or did anything stupid i would be embarrassed about the next day. that's when i decided that was a miracle and said good bye to the group snagged a cab and went home.

so this weekend was kinda slow nothing big to report really. on saturday night i stayed out here in brooklyn and went to a halloween party thrown by one of the girls at work. to be honest i don't really know the people i work with that well. plus she's on the account side and i interact with them even less. i thought because it was so close and because i don't often go out here in brooklyn i should give it a shot. it was kinda fun because i didn't know anyone there really and they were all singing and crazy by the time i got there. long story short they were all dressed up like the girls from the robert palmer video "addicted to love". The girl i know had her boyfriend decked out to look like palmer and to be honest he did his best and must be a great sport. Anyway once i got there they insisted on doing a palmer song and were all excited for me to video it with my still camera. they don't even know about dport7. Some how word got out that it could go on youtube and the excitement exploded. after the performance we went to a bar down the street i think called south paw and danced the night away.

man this weekend was out of control. friday night I went to kareoke with some kids from work at sing sing in the east village. there i learned a lesson..... a lesson to live by. if your going to be in a room with five other people singing songs its best to make sure ahead of time that other people in the room know Foreigner's Jukebox Hero. As some of you may know i had some small local fame in savannah for my renditions of Jukebox Hero. sadly word of skills haven't spread to new york. anyway after that embarrassment i came back strong with a few other songs.

on saturday i worked on freelance all day and then met up with Phil and leena for a little dinner and la paella. it was really small inside and the food was small too but it was good. after that we met up with my good old best friend from my days at toda Shannon from seattle. Her and her friend were in town for there yearly visit. we met up in the east village and and then headed to the bar that god forgot called off the wagon to see our friend tyson for the big 30 birthday party. after a quick hello and happy birthday we had to get out of off the wagon for fear someone was going to touch us in the swim suit area. anyway it was great to see shannon we all wish she would move back here...... for real!!

sunday i just finished some freelance work and finally got something to eat........
