CBB was looking for a new fragrance design that would capture the essence of La Perla's more modern aesthetic. Lead by a young new creative director, there was an energy within the brand to create something new. The sketches below demonstrate the exploration that lead to more brand-centric design.
Glass is a beautiful and unique material in the range of premium cues that the consumer can experience. The weight of the object, the refractive properties, the cool to the touch magic that makes glass special. This design had several challenges. The Pearl icon that is shown above as the liquid bubble is difficult with traditional blowing technologies. Even the final design had to be carefully considered when designing in the scoops that create the illusion of the Pearl icon in the glass.
The shelf or counter, in this case, found an iconic presence with the Fresnel Lens creating a modern metallic Pearl that seemed to be suspended in the fragrance. This unique aspect help to attract consumer.
